DePaul begins work on School of Music

As anyone going by on Halsted between Fullerton and Belden will notice, DePaul University has begun work on the new home for the university’s School of Music.  This project has been in the offing for several years as a part of its 10-year master plan.  After completion of the new Theater School, the Music School is the next major project on the Lincoln Park campus.

The first phase of the project is the demolition of McGaw Hall.  DePaul held a construction planning meeting for neighbors on October 22, 2015, to inform residents about the plans and to make sure that the project takes place with a minimum of disruption for those living and working nearby.  DePaul has issued a press release and a New Facilities webpage that includes a construction timeline for the project.
